Pack Light
- Space is limited in RV’s. We recommend packing minimally and using laundry facilities at campgrounds or laundromats along your way instead of bringing extra clothes.
- Pack in soft sided luggage that can be easily stowed in an RV or even better bring no luggage.
Don’t Plan to Travel Every Day of Your Adventure
- Many first time travelers return exhausted trying to visit too many places and traveling long distances each day.
- We recommend spending at least 2 nights in each place you visit. This gives time to see the sights and still have time to relax and enjoy your adventure.
Find Alternative Campsites
- National and state park campgrounds fill up far in advance.
- Use membership sites such as Harvest Hosts or Boondockers Welcome to find open campsites.
- There are free apps such as iOverlander that show lesser known places to camp.
- Try boondocking! Most of our RV’s are equipped with solar and allow you to camp without hookups. This way you’re able to stay in places more remote and closer to outdoor adventures.
Don’t Stick to Your Itinerary
- You may find a place along your adventure that you love. Spend more time there! Part of the RV life is being able to be flexible and living in the moment.
